We've posted that we love our Zoku Quick Pop maker several times in posts. Here are a collection of our favorite homemade popsicle recipes. You do not need a Zoku Quick Pop Maker to make them either! Each recipe only contains a couple of items, no added sugar and no preservatives. Orange Creamsicle- To make these creamy pops you simply need equal parts orange juice and milk. We used skim milk to decrease the calories and fat. These taste similar to those orange smoothies you can get at the mall. Yummmmmm Breakfast Bar- My personal favorite! Who wouldn't want to eat their breakfast in popsicle form? To make these delectable breakfast bar pops you will need strawberries, low-fat yogurt, and granola. Simply puree the strawberries in the blender with the yogurt. Add the granola to the puree and pour into your molds. Sweet Iced Tea- This one was my son's idea! My kids LOVE iced tea (strange, I know) and they love that mommy makes iced tea pops for them too! I squeezed a little lemon … [Read more...]

Imaginative Play With Play From Scratch #Spon
In an age filled with electronics and step-by-step instructions for every toy out there, it's hard to encourage your children to use their creativity and imagination. Children are constantly looking to adults (or electronics) to entertain them with what to do and how to do it. They get frustrated when parents tell them just to make something up. When we were contacted by Play From Scratch to try out their products we were both excited and a little skeptical. After all, it's just a bunch of cardboard boxes, tubes, and tape. Why would someone pay for that?? Well, this is why... Jamie's thoughts: Nutty's birthday party was the perfect time to bring out the Play From Scratch Creative Party Pack! I opened up the world famous box of boxes and the enormous tube of tubes, laid everything out, and gave the girls two rules: 1) Use your imagination, 2) Have fun... The girls promptly got to work choosing their boxes, picking their tape, and forming teams to work on things. I … [Read more...]

Bethenny’s #CallingAllMyGirls Tour + TITD After Hours
Welcome to Toys In The Dryer’s first ever After Hours post. This will be the only one you will see on our front page. Are you confused yet? Let me explain… Lindsi and I were invited to attend Bethenny Frankel’s Calling All My Girls Party in Minneapolis on Wednesday, August 6th. Bethenny is best known as the founder of the Skinny Girl Brand and is a former cast member of The Real Housewives of New York. She is now launching her own talk show called bethenny on the Fox network on September 9th. The Calling All My Girls tour is a fun way to promote Bethenny’s talk show. Contrary to our blog, Bethenny is known to share too much information and is not afraid to “go there,” however, among her controversial topics, she also focuses on family topics. So far, our blog has been family friendly and politically correct. It will continue to stay that way on our front page. However…Lindsi and I (along with the majority of our readers) are not only moms, we are women who like to have fun. … [Read more...]
How To Avoid Back To School Blunders #Spon #BacktoSchoolwithBSK
We've gotten pretty lucky when it comes to back to school time. I honestly can't think of any major blunders that have happened in the past years. Of course, we've only had to deal with two back to school days as Nutty is entering 2nd grade. This year, however, might be a little different. Hubby and I are going on a cruise the week before school starts. I just KNOW I'm going to forget something for Nutty. Here's what I'm doing, and what you can do, to help prevent blunders this year: Make sure you have all the back to school supplies packed and ready to go in the backpacks the night before. Double check it! Pack your lunches the night before and store them in the front of the fridge. If you are packing something that you don't want to make the night before, leave yourself a note of exactly what you want to pack. Make sure your camera has enough batteries, your memory card is in your camera, and that you have enough room on your card. I can't tell you how many times … [Read more...]
