Disney on Ice Presents Frozen #DisneyOnIceInsider

I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. My girls LOVE the movie Frozen. They also love Disney On Ice (we've been to see Worlds of Fantasy and Disney Celebrates 100 Years). So I know that they are going to flip out when I tell them that we are going to see Disney On Ice Presents Frozen. I haven't told them yet because it doesn't start until April 8th in Minnesota and I don't want them to hound me about it for the next couple of months. However, Frozen is showing in other locations around the US right now, and despite it being a few months away in Minnesota, tickets are already starting to sell out! Here's a summary of the show according to Disney: Enter a fantastical winter wonderland beyond all imagination at Disney On Ice presents Frozen! The heartwarming, Academy Award-winning tale you love is now LIVE and skating into your town. … [Read more...]

Minneapolis Boat Show Ticket Giveaway

The 2015 Progressive Insurance Minneapolis Boat Show will be mooring at the Minneapolis Convention Center from January 22 through January 25. My family and I have gone the past few years and it has been a fun family experience. Hubby and I enjoy finding new ideas for our boat and how we can update/upgrade it, the girls love looking at the large yachts and the fancy pontoons. I must admit though, I get a bit frustrated with Hubby and how much money he wants to spend after attending the show! This year, boating enthusiasts can participate in DIY lessons at Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, test their skills in the state-of-the-art Power Squadron Boating Simulator and sharpen their nautical know-how at a variety of seminars. The Wings Financial Credit Union Island Experience promises seaside fun with a detailed replica beach/marina environment, live music and great food. The Anchors & Ales craft beer sampling night lets you taste the best of the area's breweries. … [Read more...]

Easy New Year’s Game for Kids and Adults

It's been a tradition over the past 3-4 years to go to my neighbor's house for New Year's Eve. We hang out as families, chat, and play games. Last year my neighbor had a new game that I thought was so fun I'd share it with you. It's a super easy New Year's game for kids and adults to play and as a bonus, it's easy to set up too! You just need: balloons (one for every hour of your party plus 2 extra) a permanent marker paper string something sharp like a pin confetti (optional) Basically, you make a string of balloons across the room. Every hour of your party you pop a balloon and do the activity that is inside. The last hour (11-midnight) you pop a balloon every 15 minutes. 1) Start by making slips to go in each balloon. You'll need one for each hour of your party plus two more. The slips should have activities written on them such as: write down your New Year's resolutions turn on/up the radio and sing along to the first song you hear do 10 sit-ups … [Read more...]

Free Thanksgiving Printables

Now that my birthday, Tottie's birthday, and Halloween are over, it's time to start thinking about the next round of celebrations with free Thanksgiving printables! Yes, Thanksgiving is less than one month away, which means that Christmas is right around the corner! One holiday at a time though, right? In the past we've brought you 4 Thanksgiving activities to do with adults and kids, 4 more Thanksgiving activities, and 5 unique Thanksgiving crafts, we understand, however, that sometimes you just need to keep the kids quiet. That's why, this year, we're giving you free Thanksgiving printables to keep your kids quiet, yet entertained.   Click on the photos above to download and print. Though the two printables look very similar, the first is meant for younger kids who can't spell, while the second is meant for those who can spell. We made them similar so that the kids don't fight over who's printable is better. (I know my girls would fight over it!) Enjoy these … [Read more...]
