On Monday I showed you how to make your own slap bracelets. Today we're going to turn them into valentines! These slap bracelet valentines are fairly cheap (and easy) to make and won't simply be throw away once received. You can use Duct Tape that looks Valentine-ish or choose your favorite every-day pattern. Hint though, boys won't want to wear a girly looking slap bracelet so keep that in mind. Click on the photos below to download and print the valentines. Print the base on colored paper of your choice and the top on white paper. Sign your name on the top circles then cut them out. Next cut out the bases. If you don't want to cut around all the scallops, just cut a circle around the scallops and leave them as a printed decoration. One large piece of double-sided tape works great to put them all together. If you don't have double-sided tape, just use two pieces of regular tape. Make Your Own Slap Bracelet
I don't know about your kids but my girls love slap bracelets. I too, loved them as a kid and still think they are fun now. Today I'm going to show you how to make your own slap bracelet using three simple things: duct tape, a measuring tape, and scissors. For those of you who can not watch the video, I will type out directions under the video. Cut your measuring tape Using your scissors, cut a 6-7 inch piece of measuring tape. You'll have to cut off the end of the tape before cutting a 6 inch piece for your slap bracelet. Duct tape the end you cut off and the cut end together so you do not lose your tape inside the casing. Round the edges of your measuring tape. Round the corners of your measuring tape piece just a bit using your scissors. Easy New Year’s Game for Kids and Adults
It's been a tradition over the past 3-4 years to go to my neighbor's house for New Year's Eve. We hang out as families, chat, and play games. Last year my neighbor had a new game that I thought was so fun I'd share it with you. It's a super easy New Year's game for kids and adults to play and as a bonus, it's easy to set up too! You just need: balloons (one for every hour of your party plus 2 extra) a permanent marker paper string something sharp like a pin confetti (optional) Basically, you make a string of balloons across the room. Every hour of your party you pop a balloon and do the activity that is inside. The last hour (11-midnight) you pop a balloon every 15 minutes. 1) Start by making slips to go in each balloon. You'll need one for each hour of your party plus two more. How To Make A Pasta Angel
A few years ago as I was helping a friend go through some of her grandmother's belongings I came across a cute angel made of pasta sitting in the china cabinet. I took a photo and thought it would be fun for my girls to make. I had forgotten about the pasta angel until I was cleaning photos from my computer a couple days ago. Needless to say, I went out and bought what I needed to make these adorable Christmas decorations. Here's what I bought/already had: Paint brush White acrylic paint Glue* Wooden beads** Small ring pasta Rigatoni noodles Elbow macaroni Farfalle pasta (bow-tie pasta) Glitter Medium shell noodles** *Regular school glue works just fine but takes a while to dry. Two Sisters Spa Bath Bombs
Last month a local Minnesota mom contacted me to review her homemade bath bombs. While I haven't done a review for an Etsy shop in a while, these fun bath products intrigued me. Let me tell you, I am so glad that I didn't turn down the offer. What are Two Sisters Bath Bombs? Well, have you ever done a volcano with vinegar and baking soda? It's kinda like that only for your bath! The bombs weigh 4-5 oz each and are about the size of tennis balls. You can rest assured that they are safe because they are made with sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, Epsom salts, essential oils or fragrance oils, olive oil, water-based colorants, and witch hazel. Just plop these little bath bombs in your warm tub water and watch them "explode"! My girls thought these things were (pardon the pun) "the bomb!" How To Make Peppermint Ornaments
Hey everyone, It's Lindsi popping in again to say "hi" and to share with you these awesome peppermint ornaments I made with my kids. I saw these originally made with crushed candy canes but thought it would look much prettier with peppermint candies. As you know, my family loves making crafts with the candies. Remember the candy wreath we made? You won't believe how easy these ornaments are to make! You'll need just a few things: Peppermint candies Metal cookie cutters Cookie sheet Parchment paper Non-stick Cooking spray (such as Pam®) Toothpick Oven 1) Start by unwrapping all your candies.
