The Healthy Paws® information below, product, and gift card, have been provided by Healthy Paws Pet Insurance®. All opinions are my own. Hubby and I have owned 5 dogs in the 16 years we've been married. Until 2 years ago we were lucky when it came to vet bills. We co-owned retired show dogs and shared the cost of care with their co-owners. That made stomaching large vet bills much easier. In November of 2014, we decided to foster (and eventually adopt) from a rescue and we learned the true cost of owning a dog... Bentley came into our family malnourished and very under-weight. Fattening him up proved to be more difficult than anticipated as he developed pancreatitis from the "rich" food we were giving him. It took multiple visits to the vet, multiple tests, and a prescription diet to finally get him to a healthy weight. We spent money we didn't have to help Bentley but he has proven to be well worth the cost! Had we known about pet insurance when we got Bentley, we … [Read more...]
Hard Rock World Burger Tour Review #WorldBurgerTour
Last week I introduced you to Hard Rock Cafe's World Burger Tour burgers. Today, I'm sharing with you my family's thoughts on some of those burgers. A gift card for my family to eat, gift pack giveaway, and burger information have been provided to me by Hard Rock International. All opinions are my own. As you know, my family already loves Hard Rock Cafe so when we were asked to try the limited time World Burger Tour burgers, we didn't hesitate to say "yes!". Hubby and I took a look at the burgers on the tour website ahead of time and decided which ones we thought we'd like. They all sounded super interesting. I couldn't decide between the Java Lava Burger and the Tandoori Chicken Burger. Espresso rub on a burger? Add in cheddar cheese and bacon? *drooling* I could go without the fried jalapeno on top though. That's the Java Lava. Mint mayo and cucumbers sounded really fresh and summery on the Tandoori Chicken Burger. Hubby thought he'd like the Jamaican Jerk Burger or the … [Read more...]

Samsung’s New Products at Verizon Wireless
A few weeks ago Verizon Wireless invited me to an event at their destination store at the Mall of America to check out the Samsung Galaxy S7 smart phone, the Samsung Gear VR, and the Samsung Gear S2 smart watch. I'm not a fan of attending events at Verizon's destination store because I always leave wanting to buy everything I'm shown. Remember the Tech Byte Lunch? After that event I ended up buying a GizmoGadget for my girls. After this event I'm determined to get a Gear S2 for myself! Yes, I realize I put the watch on upside down :) Speaking of the Samsung Gear S2, I am in love with this smart watch! It's not big and bulky and it doesn't look like a smart watch if you don't want it to. It's seriously an entire phone in a watch plus it has an activity and heart rate monitor and water and coffee tracking too. It's personalizable with custom watch faces and interchangeable bands. Leave your phone at home because the Gear S2 has 3G connectivity which allows you to make calls, find … [Read more...]
Save Money with the HomeSelfe App and win $250!
Did you know that Americans are only 4.5% of the world's population, yet consume nearly 20% of the world's energy? The amount of energy Americans use doubles every 20 years. Overall, nearly 30% of the energy used in buildings is unnecessary or inefficient. In 2012, the energy wasted by the U.S. could have powered the United Kingdom for 7 years! These are scary facts! Want to help make a difference and save yourself money at the same time? Try the HomeSelfe App! I was asked by HomeSelfe to try the app in my home and share my thoughts with you. Though I was compensated for my time, the opinions are mine. The facts above were provided by Homeselfe. I thought I had to be home to do the app but I was wrong. You can take a HomeSelfe anywhere you are. The only thing you will need to get started is the average cost of your energy bills. It's a question they ask when you sign up so that they can get an idea of cost savings at the end. The app takes you through various mock … [Read more...]
