This holiday cleaning tips post is brought to you by Swiffer® as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post. We've made it no secret that we are a fan of Swiffer® products on our blog. Both of us swear by them for quick and easy clean ups and holiday cleaning is no exception. Today we're bringing you 7 last minute holiday cleaning tips using Swiffer® products including the SteamBoost Steam Mop. 1) Hidden room of clutter Don't stress about organizing all your clutter right now. You've got other things to worry about. Simply put all your mess in one room and keep the door closed until you have time to actually sort and put away your piles of stuff. 2) Use disposable plates and silverware I'm not saying to use them for entertaining, but if you can get away with it, good for you! Use disposable products the evening before and the morning of your entertaining. That way you don't have to worry about doing so many dishes. 3) Santa's (I mean Mommy's) little Elves Get … [Read more...]
VTech® Kid Connect on the InnoTab® 3S #Spon
If you haven't learned it already, we are big fans of the VTech® InnoTabs®. We've reviewed both the InnoTab® 2S and the InnoTab® 3S. Through those reviews we were given the opportunity to try the VTech Kid Connect app. The InnoTab 3S is the ONLY children’s learning tablet with VTech Kid Connect. What is this app? It is an exclusive app that lets kids and parents send text messages, voice messages, photos/drawings, and stickers between tablet-to-mobile and tablet-to-tablet. It helps parents stay connected to their kids when apart – anytime, anywhere! Though we haven't tried this app outside of our home, it has been great way to cut down the yelling in our house. I've texted the kids upstairs to tell them that dinner is ready rather than yelling at them from the kitchen! It's also been a super fun app for us to just have random fun during the day. My kids can't wait to try it out at a friend's house and I feel ok letting them do it because I know that the VTech Kid … [Read more...]
VTech InnoTab 3S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet #spon
A while ago we did a review on the VTech InnoTab 2S. Well, now VTech has come up with the upgraded 3S tablet and I (or I should say my kids) had the chance to review this one too! While we were given the tablet for review purposes, the opinions about it are my own or my children's. Here's the differences we noticed between the two tablets: The first and most obvious difference is that the S3 is smaller than the S2. My kids liked it for the portability as it is lighter too but they prefer the larger S2 screen. The second obvious difference is the added direction buttons. The kids found some games easier to play with these buttons. The last major difference is the orientation. My kids were a bit confused that they hold this tablet sideways vs up and down! The camera has been upgraded from 1.3 to 2 mp. My kids did not notice much of a difference in quality but I could see it. They did, however, like some of the added photo features. I like the rechargeable battery … [Read more...]
Britax Convertible Car Seats #Spon
September is baby safety month . We thought that this would be a good time to share with you, our lovely readers, our thoughts and opinions on Britax’s Boulevard car seat. While we were contacted by Britax and received compensation in exchange for a review post, all opinions expressed are completely ours. The Britax Boulevard car seat is jam packed with some pretty incredible safety features! In fact, they have safety features in place that the US government doesn’t even require yet. While there is no federal regulatory standards for testing, Britax has gone above and beyond to ensure its passengers are the safest possible. The have their own crash test simulators around the world and use strict global certification requirements. They care so much for your child’s safety that they FAR exceed the federal standards! In my opinion, and in many others, Europe has much stricter guidelines than the US for car seat safety and Britax has made sure that their car seats go above and … [Read more...]
Cottonelle® #LetsTalkBums #ad
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cottonelle. Let's talk WHAT? Yes, today we're talking bums (bottoms, rumps, back-sides, ba-dunk-a-dunks, tooshies, whatever you want to call them). You might be thinking this should be one of our After Hours posts but rest assured, we're not going to go that crazy! Cottonelle® is already one of our favorite brands of toilet paper. It's super soft to wipe with. Now they've come up with something even better...Cottonelle® Flushable Cleansing Cloths. In combination with their toilet paper, they make the Cottonelle® Clean Routine. I'll admit, I was bit skeptical about trying wet cloths on my bum. After all, isn't soft toilet paper enough? Aren't wet wipes for babies or kids who are potty training? I don't want to walk around with a wet bum after wiping! Au contraire mon frère, cleansing cloths are perfect for adults too! (Yes, suddenly I'm talking French while discussing my bum! Huh? I guess it's because the French … [Read more...]
Liquid Chalkers Review and Giveaway! #ad
My girls love chalk. They also love markers. When I saw a request to review liquid chalk markers, I thought they would be perfect for my girls! Unfortunately, neither girl was home when they arrived in the mail so I decided to give them a try :) Um, yeah, bad idea...I went a bit crazy coloring all over the windows and mirrors of our house! Liquid Chalkers came with specific instructions about using them on non-porous surfaces vs porous surfaces but says mirrors and windows are safe so that's what I stuck with. After all, that's the only thing I'll allow my girls to use them on anyway. If you accidentally use them on a porous surface and they don't wipe away easily, Magic Erasers work well at removing residue left behind. My girls came home from their playdates and saw my writings all over the house and insisted on trying the markers themselves...They couldn't get enough! They had fun drawing and erasing, drawing and erasing all over the front door. When all was said and … [Read more...]
