One week from today the talk show bethenny will premiere on TV and we couldn’t be more excited!
You bet we’ve got our DVRs ready to go (both to watch the show and to see if our confession made the cut)!
As we mentioned earlier, part of the celebrations and advertising for bethenny included Bethenny Frankel’s Calling All My Girls Tour. As bloggers, we were invited to attend the party in Minneapolis. It was more fun than we could have imagined!
Neither of us have had the opportunity to get dressed up lately so that was the first exciting part of it. We have to admit, we think we looked pretty darn good on that pink carpet!
We continued to look good through out the party too (despite having multiple glasses of champagne and cocktails!). Yes, we did require a sober cab after the party was over but it was girls’ night and it was a blast! We were tired in the morning but thank goodness did not have hangovers as someone had to take care of the kids!
Bethenny was way more normal and friendly than we thought she would be. She’s more like your best friend than a celebrity. Man is she hysterical too! If her talk show is going to be anything like the way she was on stage in Minneapolis, you are not going to want to miss it!
The crowd at the party was awesome and full of local celebs along with fans, a few fellow bloggers, and media.
Our MC for the night was the famous Tom Riles who is the warm-up comedian for the Ellen DeGeneres Show. He also happens to be a Dad Blogger and spent a lot of time talking with us about blogging and Life of Dad. Tom started blogging when his daughter was born with a congenital heart defect and has grown since then.
There’s a story behind the photo above…you see, Jamie’s Hubby accidentally dropped her phone in the water while camping over the weekend prior to the party. In the elevator on the way up to the party, she was complaining that she did not have a phone to tweet with. Suddenly some random guy offered to let her use his iPhone for the night. Turns out that guy is Eddie Seslowsky, the Senior Vice President of Sales for Warner Brothers! Yes, I carried around his phone for the night! Eddie happens to be a huge music fan so when he’s not working at Warner Brothers, his other passion is Chicago Mixtape. If you live in the Chicago area, you definitely want to check it out for some local music. Even if you’re not in the Chicago area, check it out so that you can get FREE music to listen to!
All-in-all, the night was fantastic with only one minor hiccup…a glass broke and a shard hit Lindsi’s foot. We laughed it off but the staff made a big deal out of it! If you watch Bethenny’s recap video, you’ll catch a glimpse of Jamie doing the Bethenny dance in the audience!!
Don’t forget to tune in to bethenny premiering on your local Fox network on September 9th!
We received tickets to the Calling All My Girls party in exchange for promoting the talk show. We received no other compensation. All thoughts and opinions are 100% our own.
