Jamie has often called me names….Yes it’s true. She calls me names that I giggle at, and love! Names like; crazy couponing lady, thrift shopper, deal finder, and my personal favorite, extreme couponer. Why do I like it? Wouldn’t you want to be called names that are positive things? I love that I am known for my thrifty shopping, my deal finding, my bargain hunting ways. I am going to share with you, our lovely readers, how I can save 50-75% off of my shopping lists! It will sound tricky but bear with me because it’s actually really easy!
Step 1: Purchase four Sunday papers, but make sure they are purchased late on Saturday. Sunday morning papers cost $1.50 but if you buy the early edition it’s half that! Savings! $$ Why buy 4? Because most manufactures coupons will only allow you four of the same coupon.
Step 2: Pick out what you want to save out of the coupons, snip them out, then grab your Cub Foods weekly ad! Savings alone are what you find when you shop at Cub. I have always found their prices to be the best out there. AND my favorite part- they will accept expired coupons by up to 30 days! A few things to keep in mind. Remember that when you are on the hunt for coupons you have several places to find them: Internet coupons, Newspaper coupons, Store issued coupons and Catalina Coupons (those coupons that come spitting out of the register).
Step 3: Get a rewards card! Seriously FREE gas savings!!! For every $50 you spend you get 5¢ off a gallon of gas at Holiday! With six people in our house you can bet we have NO issues saving money on gas.
Step 4: Watch for special promotions and sweepstakes from Cub. They just had an awesome promotion where if you purchased $100 in selected gift cards you got $20 in free groceries! You could buy a Visa gift card for $100 and then turn around and use it at Cub and get your $20 in free groceries.

Step 6: Remember that Cub offers their customers the option to use a manufacture coupon AND a store coupon! That means you can often double up on savings. For example: If Cub has product A on sale in their weekly ad for $5.99 (originally $8.99) and they also have a store coupon for $1.50 off, but you also have a manufacture coupon for $1.00 off then you’ve just purchased product A for $3.49 instead of $8.99! Those are savings that really add up!
