My family is lucky enough to live in an AWESOME neighborhood. My neighbors regularly get together for fun things and have a minimum of two block parties a year. We could not be happier with where we live. Because our neighborhood is so fun, a few years ago my girls and I started "You've Been Boo'd" at Halloween time. It was a huge success and everyone really got into it. This year we decided to do something different with "You've Been Egged!" for Easter. You've Been Egged is similar to Boo'd in the fact that it is still a ding-dong and ditch thing but instead of just leaving treats on your neighbor's door, you hide eggs in their yard. Both adults and kids can have fun with this. The only problem is hiding the eggs without getting caught! To "Egg" your neighbors, you'll need: 10 fillable plastic eggs treats to put in the eggs (candy or non-candy) a copy of the "You've Been Egged" sheet (see below to download) 1) Fill the plastic eggs with treats 2) Sneak into … [Read more...]
Leprechaun Doughnuts–Free Printable
Leprechauns are sneaky little buggers. They always cause mischief and they never get caught. This year we're going to try to lure one into a trap with Leprechaun donuts. These cute little doughnuts are easy to make and my free box printable adds a nice little touch. To make them yourselves, you'll need: 9-12 Cheerios®* or the generic version of them Small amount of white or regular chocolate to melt Sprinkles of your choice (optional) Food coloring of your choice (optional) Clear tape or plastic wrap (for the box window) The free printable below Melt the chocolate. Add food coloring if you want, then dip the tops of the Cheerios® in the chocolate. Sprinkle while wet, then let dry on a plate or wax paper. If the hole of the cereal becomes clogged you can use a toothpick to poke the hole back in while the chocolate is still wet. Once dry, place the doughnuts in the box. Aren't they so cute?! My girls wanted to eat them themselves but we need to save them … [Read more...]
Loom Bracelet Valentines–FREE PRINTABLE!
Loom bracelets are all the rage this year. My girls couldn't wait to get theirs for Christmas (they were pretty sure that Santa was bringing them one. In fact, it was my sister who gave the looms to them). Since then, I've got more bracelets than I can wear, and I'm constantly picking up little rubber bands all over the house! Despite being able to make their own, my girls love getting and giving loom bracelets to their friends. Thus, I thought loom bracelet Valentines would be fun to make! Both girls are getting to work cranking out as many bracelets as they can make and I'm still frustrated with the rubber bands all over the place! If you look closely, you'll see that the Valentine that says "Your Friendship Is IlLOOMinating" is made out of glow in the dark bands :) If your kids want to make loom bracelet Valentines, click on the printable below.
