This summer we decided not to enroll our twins in summer preschool. We thought that the fact that it’s their last summer before school begins we’d let them partake in fun summer adventures. Fun right? Yes, however it does pose an issue and create a little anxiety for me. My son (one of the twins) is seriously allergic to bee stings. Like SERIOUS allergy….like call 911 type allergy. We have a fancy epi pen for him if the event were to ever occur and I feel confident that my husband and I could safely execute the safety plan in place for him. Now that he’s involved in all of these amazing summer adventures I will admit I am freaked out! What if he gets stung and I’m not there? What if the person responsible for him at the time isn’t available at that moment? What if the people around him don’t know he’s got a mad allergy to bee stings? Cue the Kidecals! I loved that I could create my own custom sticker for my son. I loved the fact that the stickers were really sticky and I didn’t feel like it would pose an issue by falling off in the middle of the day. They were fantastic! I smacked one on his shirt right before he headed out the door to Lego camp for the day and I can honestly say I breathed a little easier. I was able to personalize the sticker to say whatever I wanted. I chose “I am allergic to BEE STINGS, if stung call 911.” I also chose the bright orange-colored stickers to make sure they were easily seen on his clothing. At the end of the day when I picked him up, the sticker was still in place and it did its job. The stickers are insanely durable, wash machine safe, dryer safe and dishwasher safe. Just think of all the things you could label!
