New Year, New You with Gordmans

It's nearing the end of February. How have your New Year's resolutions been going? Are you still going strong or have they fizzled out? Gordmans wants to remind you that it's not too late to have a new year, new you. Back in August I partnered with Gordmans to talk about Back To School Shopping. In that post, I said that I had never been to Gordmans before but we'd definitely be going back. I didn't lie. Gordmans is now one of our favorite stores to shop! I've turned many friends on to the store too. Their styles are awesome and their prices are definitely reasonable. (Excuse the horrible dressing room selfies. I have yet to learn how to take full-body selfies and the lighting wasn't great either.) That brings me back to New Year, New You. If you made a resolution to lose weight this year and it's going well, you are no doubt in need of some smaller sized clothes by now. Gordmans is the perfect place to shop for those clothes. They've got a great selection of both casual … [Read more...]

Disney on Ice Presents Frozen #DisneyOnIceInsider

I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. My girls LOVE the movie Frozen. They also love Disney On Ice (we've been to see Worlds of Fantasy and Disney Celebrates 100 Years). So I know that they are going to flip out when I tell them that we are going to see Disney On Ice Presents Frozen. I haven't told them yet because it doesn't start until April 8th in Minnesota and I don't want them to hound me about it for the next couple of months. However, Frozen is showing in other locations around the US right now, and despite it being a few months away in Minnesota, tickets are already starting to sell out! Here's a summary of the show according to Disney: Enter a fantastical winter wonderland beyond all imagination at Disney On Ice presents Frozen! The heartwarming, Academy Award-winning tale you love is now LIVE and skating into your town. … [Read more...]

GE Lighting Home Makeover Giveaway

I was compensated for this post however all thoughts and opinions are my own. A few years ago when I was blogging as Mommy's Camera (my no longer active blog), I won a trip to the GE Appliance headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. It was an AWESOME trip and I learned a ton! Included in learning about GE's appliances was also learning about their lighting. I'm telling you, I have never looked at lighting the same since then! Lighting can change the look and feel of an entire room, can change your attitude, and can have an effect your finances. Speaking of finances... To celebrate the New Year, GE Lighting is offering a giveaway for a home lighting makeover experience! This is a great opportunity to switch out your old dingy lighting with beautiful lighting options from GE Lighting’s soft white, LED, or reveal® bulb line. If you win, you'll save money by not having to buy light bulbs PLUS you save money on your electric bills because GE light bulbs are energy efficient. You can … [Read more...]

Mommy Makeover

I admit it, I don't do much as far as my hair and make up go. I rarely wear full-blown make up any more and I'm a wash, dry, brush once, and go type of girl when it comes to my hair. When Camille Albane Paris salon reached out to me and asked me if I wanted a complimentary mommy makeover to help spread the word about their new Maple Grove, MN store, I jumped on the opportunity! Why not? Camille Albane Paris is a bold, dynamic, feminine salon brand known for its elite industry expertise, superior service, innovative products and top talent. It has nearly 300 salons in 11 countries. Last month it opened its second U.S. location in Maple Grove, Minnesota (it's first US location is in Boston, MA). I'm so excited to be one of the bloggers chosen to get a mommy makeover at the second ever U.S. location! This is my "before" selfie. Yup. Me on a typical day except I'm wearing a bit of makeup. I didn't want to look horrible when I walked into a high-end salon. High end (but not … [Read more...]
