This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of éclos Skin Care for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. As a mom, how often do you take time (and money) to pamper and take care of yourself, especially your skin? I know I don't take a lot of time or spend a lot of money. Skin care is something I totally lack on! In my defense however, I've been told by more than one skin care expert that I have "perfect" and "healthy" skin. I guess for me, less is more! I am however, always up for tyring new products, especially cheap ones! I was given the opportunity to try éclos Skin Care. I received the the Anti-Aging Skin Care starter kit which contains sample sizes of their complete line: Facial Cleaner Skin Prep Cellular Activator Face Serum Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream Restorative Eye Cream Instant Radiance Facial Scrub Skin Renewal Clay Mask Terry Cloth Head Band To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of this skin care. First because it's resonably … [Read more...]
Free Tooth Fairy Certificate Printable
My oldest daughter had to have her first two teeth pulled instead of losing them because her permanent teeth were growing behind her baby teeth. She was devastated that she didn't get to lose her teeth on her own so I thought I needed to do something extra special from the tooth fairy. I searched the internet for some fun ideas and got a ton of inspiration! I also discovered that a lot of those ideas cost more money than I was willing to spend! Me being quite computer savvy decided that I could take that inspiration and make something on my own! Thus I came up with my own free tooth fairy certificate and letter. It started with a letter to and from the tooth fairy because Nutty wanted to keep her teeth for show and tell at school. She was nervous that the tooth fairy would take them even if she didn't put them under her pillow. The next night came an Official Certificate Of Record, money, and she got to keep her teeth!! The … [Read more...]

What's for dinner? It is a question that many of us dread each day. What is for dinner? What do I have the ingredients for? Ugh...I don't feel like cooking... If you've been paying close enough attention to our blog, you know that Lindsi is a meal planning freak "expert" and Jamie has been trying her hand at meal planning too. We both find meal planning to be helpful in stress, energy, and money saving. It also helps with the dreaded, "What's for dinner?" question! The one problem however, is the time it takes to come up with recipes. Flipping through multiple different websites and cook books can get confusing and overwhelming. Add in the time it takes to make a grocery list for all your meals and making a weekly meal plan can take up to 1/2 a day! That's where Relish! comes in! We've been using Relish! for our meal planning for a little over 2 months and we couldn't be happier! The first week Jamie used Relish! her Facebook status said, "Trying out a new online … [Read more...]
Wee Gen – Seventh Generation Diapers- AWESOME!
Going green, when it comes to diapers, can mean lots of different things. You could interpret it to mean "I am going to cloth diaper and use cloth wipes" or "biodegradable diapers and biodegradable wipes" or even "disposable diapers that are chemical free." Either way you look at it, it involves a little bit more effort on your end but in my honest opinion totally worth it! My "need to be green" started when my youngest was 3 weeks old. We used the same diapers on him that we had used with our previous three children. We noticed that his poor little bottom was getting redder and redder with every change until at 3 weeks of age is bottom was so raw that we took him to the doctor. He had been diagnosed with a chemical burn from the brand of diapers we had been using. I was horrified! A chemical burn? Really? Yes, really! We had to use 3 different prescription creams to help heal his sweet bottom up and used cloth diapers until he was completely healed. After that experience I did … [Read more...]
"Going Green" Laundry Style
To be completely honest, I hadn't really thought about "going green" as far as my laundry goes until this past year. I've read plenty of blog posts about making your own laundry detergent and how it's much better for you and for the environment and thought to myself, "It would be nice to use more natural laundry detergent since my clothes are against my body 24/7". Problem is, I just don't have the time or energy to make my own detergent. Then I found Seventh Generation laundry detergent. It's got all the benefits of going natural and green without the time and effort of making my own detergent. Plus, the cost isn't half bad either! Now, let me make another confession, I'm not that picky about my laundry detergent and don't really notice the difference when it comes to various brands. I tried Seventh Generation laundry detergent and didn't really notice that much of a difference from the other laundry detergents I had used so I guess that's a good thing! One thing I can say … [Read more...]
Daylight Savings and the Pajanimals
Daylight savings time used to be a fun time when I was a kid. An extra hour of sleep in the fall and an extra hour of daylight in the spring. Now that I am a mother daylight savings time is a time I anticipate a bump in the road for my kids sleeping schedule. We're lucky that our kids sleep as well as they do; they go to bed at 8pm and get up at 8am. When we know the "change in the clock" is approaching we try hard to adjust their bedtime by 15 minutes each day. After a few days we've caught up to the correct time and things seem to be back on track. One great way to gear my children up for bedtime is by watching the Pajanimals on Sprout TV. If you have never heard of the Pajanimals before I'd highly recommend you check them out. They are soothing and calming and help my children relax and unwind before bedtime. Sprout TV is the only place where you can regularly watch Squacky (the favorite of my twins) and their friends. Furthermore, Sprout TV is the only 24 hour channel dedicated … [Read more...]
