If you’ve been a reader of our blog for a while you know that we have a good relationship with P&G. You now also know that we have a good relationship with GE® Appliances. What may surprise you is that P&G and GE® Appliances have a great relationship with each other! I was so excited when I found this out. Two of my favorite companies working together…what could be better than that?
A few days ago, I had the opportunity to speak with Dan Goldstein, the marketing director for my new GE® Hybrid Stainless Steel Dishwasher. Among all the tips and tricks he told me about my dishwasher (next post), we also talked about the relationship that P&G and GE® Appliances have with each other. Bet you didn’t know that the engineers from both companies frequently meet together to figure out how the dishwashing detergent and the dishwasher work together. Pretty cool huh? That’s why GE® Appliances recommends using Cascade in their dishwashers…they were made for each other!
Dan also told me that you do NOT need to rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher–just scrape off the excess food in the garbage and put the dish in the washer. As a person who was once taught that you had to rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, I was a disbeliever of Dan’s advice to “let the dishwasher and detergent do their jobs.” So, I put my dishwasher and the Cascade to the test…
I put my dishes in the washer without rinsing them first…
…and they came out clean anyway!
The real test, however, came when I put my spaghetti server in the dishwasher without rinsing it first. It sat there for 1.5 days so that sauce was dried on! The server was on the top rack on top of the cups. I don’t have a before picture but trust me, I did not think it would come clean…
I was so impressed I posted it on Instagram and Twitter!
Moral of this post…yes, GE® and Cascade DO work great even if you don’t rinse your dishes first!! What a time saver!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of GE® Appliances. I was NOT asked by GE® or P&G to write about Cascade, however, since I love my Cascade, we have a good relationship with P&G and they have a good relationship with GE® I thought I would write about both 🙂
