We’ve shared with you our love for Crayola products in the past, well we are about to share a little more about our love for Crayola. Our friends at Crayola contacted us and provided us with a gift pack in exchange for a unique Holiday Craft idea and a blog post:
- Crayola Washable Markers
- Crayola Colored Pencils
- Crayola Glitter Glue
- Crayola Model Magic
- Crayola Slick Sticks
- $25 Wal-Mart gift card for more Crayola products
They asked us to share with all of you a fun, and unique craft to make with these awesome crayola products. My kids and I sat down at our kitchen table and brainstormed a few ideas. My 5-year-old twins sat down and grabbed the bold colorful washable markers, pencils, and slick sticks. Wow! I had never seen the Slick Sticks before and they are incredible! We have the ever popular Elf on a Shelf and our Elf’s name is Scottland. They created fantastic pictures for Scottland to take with him to the North Pole. The colors were fabulous and so incredibly smooth.
After they all created their pictures/letters for Scottland they informed me that we MUST make Scottland his own chair to sit in so that he was comfortable. I had never used Crayola Model Magic before and for the life of me I cannot understand why! This stuff is awesome! What we loved was that the Model Magic was really easy to work with, not messy in any way, and it can be kept in an air-tight container for later use or you can leave your creations out over night and they will permanently harden. We mixed the blue and yellow Model Magic to make the green and created the chair. Once we got the chair the way we wanted we added a candy cane twist to the top of the chair for a little holiday flair. And the chair wouldn’t be complete until Scottland had his name on it.
