FRUCHI™ Smoothies
Our families love smoothies. Lindsi quite frequently makes them for her kids, and it's a super big treat when Hubby and I take the girls to our local smoothie store. Needless to say, when FRUCHI™ Smoothies contacted us to do a review for them, we jumped all over it!Our smoothies arrived super cold in a dry ice packed cooler. Remember early science? Yeah, don't touch the dry ice with your hands (Jamie--don't worry, I only touched it with one finger then quickly remembered. I didn't cause myself any injury)! And...if something is packed in dry ice, it's probably just as cold as the ice (Lindsi--Yeah, I probably should have worn something on my hands when I removed the smoothies too). OK, moving on...Jamie--My entire family was excited about these smoothies and they couldn't wait to eat them. If I would have read the package, I would have realized that you could thaw them in the microwave for a few seconds. Unfortunately, I made my family wait a few hours to try them while they … [Read more...]
Plan ahead cooking- Pinned it, Did it
I have a HUGE surgery coming up, in about two weeks. I am pretty nervous but incredibly excited. I know that it's going to be a ton of work for my hubby to take care of our 4 kids, work, a house, and me for those weeks so I wanted to do as much as I could to make things easier for him. If you're on Pintrest you have likely seen the pins related to crock pot meals. Well, I did it! I'm pretty excited! We've been doing this for a while now but today I finished making 2 and a half weeks worth of meals for the big surgery day!I started with a list of meals I wanted to make: Chicken Wild Rice Soup, Beef Fajitas, Vegetable Beef Soup, Taco Meat, Pot Roast, Turkey Breast, Omelets, Mini Corn Dog Muffins, and I even threw in some chocolate chip cookies to boot! Once I figured out the meals I made a list of items I needed and purchased them. The grocery man came today with my order and I laid it all out on my counter and started to wash, cut, peel, chop and brown.I tossed each necessary ingredient … [Read more...]

Easter Fun With Carrots and Dip
Need a fun way to encourage your kids to eat their veggies? This cute presentation is sure to spark their interest! Tottie couldn't wait to eat her carrots and dip after I showed her these potted cuties. To make your own you'll need:Mini terracotta potsBaby carrotsParsleyVeggie dipMedicine cupsToothpicksScissorsStart by filling your medicine cups with your veggie dip. Put your medicine cups in the terracotta pots. Use a toothpick to poke a hole in the top of each carrot then insert a small piece of parsley into that hole. Last, you'll "plant" your carrots in the dip. If you've filled your medicine cups high enough the dip will spill over the edges when you plant your carrots. The spilled dip helps to hide the cups.Watch your kids enjoy eating their veggies! … [Read more...]
Cadbury® Creme Eggs® Milkshakes–Pinned it, Did it!
Easter is one of my favorite times of year for candy because that's when Cadbury® Creme Eggs® come out. I am seriously addicted to these eggs! I was browsing Pinterest last Easter and came across Cadbury® Creme Egg® Milkshakes. OMG, yum! I at first thought that this link would lead me to a recipe that made milkshakes that tasted like the best little eggs ever, however, these milkshakes are made with them. They are nothing more than Cadbury® Creme Eggs®, vanilla ice cream, and a little bit of milk blended together. If you want to get all technical about ratios how how much goes into the shakes you can visit the original site recipe.Though simple, this milkshake is to die for! Super sweet, however, so I wouldn't recommend drinking a glass the size of what they made. What is your favorite Easter candy?Click on the button above to learn more about Pinned it, Did it! … [Read more...]
