Fun Stuff Friday #19

Remember when Linkys were all the rage in blogging? They were a great way to find and get to know other bloggers before social media and Pinterest became mainstream. It didn’t hurt that they brought a ton of traffic to your site too. Lindsi and I started our Fun Stuff Fridays linky back in 2011. We kept it going for 20 weeks before it fizzled out (or we got sick of doing it, I’m not sure which happened).

It is now soon to be 2017 and at lot of the links in those linkies no longer exist. Plus, I’ve let my link up subscription lapse so you can’t get to them anyway. Instead of deleting the Fun Stuff Fridays posts, however, I have decided to clean them up and make sure our featured links are still valid. After all, on a rare occasion I get traffic from one of these old posts. The linky may be gone but the featured posts are still valid as of December 2016…

Welcome to Fun Stuff Fridays. We love seeing what our readers have been up to and cannot wait to share some of our favorites! We wish we could feature all of them! Can’t wait to see your amazing submissions this week! Feel free to submit as many ideas as you want over that time. And remember-spread the word!

One thing we’ve added is something that we hope you will like. We’ve been pinning each weeks featured picks into their very own Pintrest board! We hope it brings you loads of linky love….you’ve earned it! You can find our Featured Pintrest Board HERE!

Our joint favorite pick was Squash Sibling Squabbles submitted by Creekside Learning. This is GENIUS!!! With six kids between us this offers some amazing advice and great ideas for cuttin’ out the chaos and arguments!

Jamie’s number one pick was Grass Head submitted by Red Ted Art’s Blog. Absolutely LOVE this idea!  What a fun way to teach kids about growing things and let them pretend to cut hair too.  I just hope they don’t get the idea to cut their own hair again!

Lindsi’s number one pick was Rainbow Milk submitted by Mom Is The Only Girl. Who doesn’t love activities that you can eat or as this mom calls it “make and takes.” What a neat way to engage your child in a little science, color lesson and fun! (link no longer exists)
