Fresh Thyme Farmers Market opened it’s first Minnesota store in Bloomington this morning. The doors opened at 6:45 am and from the gossip I overheard at the store this afternoon, it has been a steady crowd ever since.
If you can call a grocery store pretty, that’s what I’d call Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. The colors of the store are bright and the atmosphere was fun. Which ever isle you walked down there was someone there to help or answer questions. I’m not sure if its just because today is the Grand Opening, but I really hope they keep that level of service!

Based on what I saw today, I think they nailed it! Not only did they have an abundance of fresh and local fruits and vegetables but they had a bunch of other healthy foods and products too! Browsing the prices, I didn’t think they were way off from the large chain store prices.

Their salad bar rivals that of a fancy restaurant!

One thing to keep in mind when you visit the Bloomington Fresh Thyme Farmers market…there is underground parking! Don’t let the small parking lot fool you! Plus, it’s perfect for a wet or snowy day. Elevators and escalators bring you straight into the store.
