Two Sisters Spa Bath Bombs

Last month a local Minnesota mom contacted me to review her homemade bath bombs. While I haven’t done a review for an Etsy shop in a while, these fun bath products intrigued me. Let me tell you, I am so glad that I didn’t turn down the offer.

What are Two Sisters Bath Bombs? Well, have you ever done a volcano with vinegar and baking soda? It’s kinda like that only for your bath! The bombs weigh 4-5 oz each and are about the size of tennis balls. You can rest assured that they are safe because they are made with sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, Epsom salts, essential oils or fragrance oils, olive oil, water-based colorants, and witch hazel.

Just plop these little bath bombs in your warm tub water and watch them “explode”! My girls thought these things were (pardon the pun) “the bomb!”

Not only was it fun for the girls to watch (and feel) the bombs go crazy in the tub, waiting for what was inside was “so exciting”. I actually didn’t tell them there was a surprise inside the first time they tried the bombs. When Tottie’s bath bomb started fizzing to the end she started screaming, “there’s something inside! There’s something inside!” She pulled out a bracelet and went crazy.

Nutty then took a bath and the entire time kept saying, “this is so cool! This is so cool! I can’t wait to see what I get!” What other things are inside besides jewelry? Well, that depends on if you order girl, boy, or gender neutral bath bombs. Surprises include small items such as hair clips, stampers, finger puppets, bubbles, cars, dice, silly monkeys, mini water guns, animals, and more.

Though my girls absolutely loved the Two Sisters Bath Bombs, there were a few minor things they didn’t like. The first, and most major thing, was that they “didn’t last long enough.” I think they wanted the fizz to last their entire bath. Also, some of the scents were quite strong. I think the fragrance could be lightened up just a bit. The red bomb left a light pink ring around the tub that was easily washed away. None of the rest of the colors left a ring.

To sum up my review, I highly suggest Two Sisters Bath Bombs as a stocking-stuffer this Christmas. Or, order a bunch and give them as a regular present! These would also make fun party favors if you are having a spa birthday party.
