Fun Stuff Fridays (#21)

Remember when Linkys were all the rage in blogging? They were a great way to find and get to know other bloggers before social media and Pinterest became mainstream. It didn’t hurt that they brought a ton of traffic to your site too. Lindsi and I started our Fun Stuff Fridays linky back in 2011. We kept it going for 20 weeks before it fizzled out (or we got sick of doing it, I’m not sure which happened).

It is now soon to be 2017 and at lot of the links in those linkies no longer exist. Plus, I’ve let my link up subscription lapse so you can’t get to them anyway. Instead of deleting the Fun Stuff Fridays posts, however, I have decided to clean them up and make sure our featured links are still valid. After all, on a rare occasion I get traffic from one of these old posts. The linky may be gone but the featured posts are still valid as of December 2016…

Welcome to Fun Stuff Fridays. We love seeing what our readers have been up to and cannot wait to share some of our favorites! We wish we could feature all of them! Can’t wait to see your amazing submissions this week! Feel free to submit as many ideas as you want over that time. And remember-spread the word!

One thing we’ve added is something that we hope you will like. We’ve been pinning each weeks featured picks into their very own Pintrest board! We hope it brings you loads of linky love….you’ve earned it! You can find our Featured Pintrest Board HERE!

Our joint favorite pick was Little Boys Wallet submitted by Naptime Creations. We loved this! Little girls get all of the cute, princess-ey, girlie purses and dress up clothing….why can’t boys have adorable wallets? Lindsi’s 3 boys would appreciate these! (link no longer exists)

Jamie’s number one pick was Homemade Guitar submitted by Learning 4 Kids. Jamie said “This is just pure genius!  It looks like so much fun too!” She loved that these are pretty easy to make and knows her girls would have a blast with them!

Lindsi’s number one pick was Homemade Girls Pirate Outfit submitted by Create With Your Hands. I am adding this to my loooooong list of “to do’s!” My daughter loves pirates and she’d go nuts over these adorable creations. What a fun way to turn a typically “boy” thing into a “girl” thing!”

Want to know what the most clicked on submission was? It was Sleeping Issues.
