Fun Stuff Fridays (#15)

Remember when Linkys were all the rage in blogging? They were a great way to find and get to know other bloggers before social media and Pinterest became mainstream. It didn’t hurt that they brought a ton of traffic to your site too. Lindsi and I started our Fun Stuff Fridays linky back in 2011. We kept it going for 20 weeks before it fizzled out (or we got sick of doing it, I’m not sure which happened).

It is now soon to be 2017 and at lot of the links in those linkies no longer exist. Plus, I’ve let my link up subscription lapse so you can’t get to them anyway. Instead of deleting the Fun Stuff Fridays posts, however, I have decided to clean them up and make sure our featured links are still valid. After all, on a rare occasion I get traffic from one of these old posts. The linky may be gone but the featured posts are still valid as of December 2016…

Welcome to Fun Stuff Fridays. We love seeing what our readers have been up to and cannot wait to share some of our favorites! Can’t wait to see your amazing submissions this week! We wish we could feature all of them! Feel free to submit as many ideas as you want over that time. And remember- spread the word!

One thing we’ve added is something that we hope you will like. We’ve been pinning each weeks featured picks into their very own Pintrest board! We hope it brings you loads of linky love….you’ve earned it! You can find our Featured Pintrest Board HERE.

Our joint favorite this week was Tent City from Permanent Kisses.  Our kids love tents but it’s not always easy to help them set one up.  These look super simple to make, are easy to store, and the kids can play with them by themselves!

Jamie’s number one pick was Garden Life by Jellyfish Jelly This is absolutely beautiful and is a fun 3D art project to do with your kids! I would have never thought to do 3D art like this! (photo and link no longer exist)

Lindsi’s number one pick was Glitter Easter Eggs from Sew and the City.  My kids are huge fans of glitter and I’m a huge fan of decorating.  This is the perfect combo for my family!

The number one viewed entry this week was Mini Spring Easter Basket from A Creative Cookie.
