Back to School Meals Made Easy with Relish (Sample recipe included!) #Spon

Last year we told you about meal planning made easy with Relish!  We enjoyed them so much that we're here to remind you that your back to school meals can be easy with them too!!  What is Relish?  Here's how they describe themselves: A weekly menu planner aimed to help busy families put wonderful meals on the table every night. No sloppy casseroles or expensive kitchen blunders. Instead look for everyday food...with a gourmet twist. We can vouch for the fact that their meals are easy, made with normal, fresh foods, and definitely taste gourmet (even though they don't take the gourmet time or skill to make). As far as the planning part of it goes...It takes me 15 minutes to come up with a menu for the entire week including a detailed grocery list broken down by store aisle!!  With slightly extra time, I can make a menu full of freezer meals for busy weeks.  That's how easy Relish! makes menu planning! Vegetarian family?  No problem.  Picky kids?  No problem.  Having … [Read more...]

Liquid Chalkers Review and Giveaway! #ad

My girls love chalk. They also love markers. When I saw a request to review liquid chalk markers, I thought they would be perfect for my girls! Unfortunately, neither girl was home when they arrived in the mail so I decided to give them a try :) Um, yeah, bad idea...I went a bit crazy coloring all over the windows and mirrors of our house! Liquid Chalkers came with specific instructions about using them on non-porous surfaces vs porous surfaces but says mirrors and windows are safe so that's what I stuck with.  After all, that's the only thing I'll allow my girls to use them on anyway.  If you accidentally use them on a porous surface and they don't wipe away easily, Magic Erasers work well at removing residue left behind.  My girls came home from their playdates and saw my writings all over the house and insisted on trying the markers themselves...They couldn't get enough!  They had fun drawing and erasing, drawing and erasing all over the front door.  When all was said and … [Read more...]

Blueberry Bubble Gum Book Review and Giveaway! #ad

When I was asked to review the book Blueberry Bubble Gum by Mahamad Ali ElFakir,  (not an affiliate link) I honestly didn't know what to think.  At first the book didn't seem that interesting and appeared to be geared more toward boys, but I decided to bite and I'm glad I did! A little about the book: Blueberry Bubble Gum follows Max as he is gearing up for a summer of baseball with his friends. He’s expecting fun in the sun and long, lazy days. But to his surprise, he finds himself transported to a strange and wonderful world after chewing magical blueberry bubble gum—bubble gum his parents warned him not to chew! Through Blueberry Bubble Gum you can follow his adventures through Blueberry Bubble Gum World and meet the fascinating creatures who live there—the Blueberry Boy, King Erudition, and the lumpy, moldy green evil Waywards. Readers will find out if Max learns his lesson and finds his way home in this thrilling journey! The author says, “A child’s imagination can inspire … [Read more...]

Game Day With Tide® #Spon

Game day is not a day in our house. We have four kids. Four kids in soccer, two in baseball, one in football, one in dance, and two in gymnastics. So game day is more like game week in our house! We have uniforms coming out of our ears as well. No kidding, I can do an entire load of laundry with just uniforms! My oldest son is the one that seems to put my laundry detergent to the test more often than not. In the spring he plays soccer and if you can even begin to imagine the mud and grass stains we accumulate in one soccer season you can also imagine the test that our laundry detergent is put to. He's not a kid that sits on the sidelines and refuses to play, not that there is anything wrong with that. He just prefers to get right into the thick of it. His favorite games are the ones when there has been a big rain and the fields are super messy and sloppy. I think mud, dirt, and boys must go hand in hand....I think it's in their DNA somewhere. To prepare for each game "week" … [Read more...]
