Get rid of mommy grouchies

We’ve got 15 ideas that might help brighten your mood when you’ve got the Mommy Grouchies!

2)  Mommy time-out–Give yourself a time-out just like you do to your kids.  Tell your kids that you are in a time-out because you are cranky.  Sit in your room for 5-10 minutes and gather yourself together.

  1. Always good to remember! Thanks for the reminder 🙂

  2. I love the photo!!!!!

Great post, thanks! I’d add “go out for a walk” to the list….it’s impossible to stay grouchy in the fresh air.

  3. This was such a timely article; I’ve been in a real funk this week (too many demands and not enough fun). It really helps me to go for a walk. The kids usually ride their bikes about 10 paces ahead of me. I think a combo of nature, exercise and the kids focus on something else soothes the inner beast.

I am going to implement the mommy time out – love that!

    Thanks!!

  4. I love the fake potty break!

When mommy is grumpy we get McDonalds and watch “silly friends” otherwise known as Friends on DVD.

  5. combine the fake potty break with chocolate, I get a moment to myself, chocolate and no kids asking me for some of my chocolate!!
